The Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) is one of the oldest higher educational establishments of Ukraine. It was set up in 1930. The present-day KNURE is a school of higher learning, which is developing dynamically. It unique in Ukraine and the CIS as to the concentration of scientific and technical as well as scientific and pedagogical potential in the field of radio electronics, telecommunications, information technologies and computer engineering. In spite of Ukraine's complicated transition period of development, the KNURE has not only preserved scientific and technical as well as scientific and educational potential which had been formed in the previous years, but it is actively developing in all directions and has made a considerable contribution to the development of those branches of Ukrainian economy which determine the state-of-the-art scientific and technical progress of the country.

Institute of Radio engineering and Radio electronics

The Institute unites faculties and departments which perform training of specialists and scientific research in the fields of radio electronics, telecommunications, metrology, standardization and certification, electronic devices, electronics, laser and optoelectronic equipment in 14 specialties of full-time learning  

Faculty of Correspondence Education 

Performs training of students by correspondence in 12 specialities in the fields of radioelectronics, telecommunications, electronic devices, electronics, computer engineering, economics and management, publishing and printing business.  

Post-Graduate Course and Doctoral Degree Training Department 

Carries out training of Doctors of Sciences in 13 specialities and candidates of Sciences in 26 specialities.  

Department of International Cooperation, Foreign Relations and Marketing

Carries out, organizes and coordinates the work of educational and scientific sections of the University dealing with training of foreign citizens, international cooperation, and realization of international scientific programmers.
